Rob R. showed the group a set of unfinished cherry panels he recently prepared for end tables he was custom building for a customer. Rob R. promised to bring them back in after they were finished so we could see the end results.
Ken H. brought along the three projects he was going to enter in the show, all of which had been previously shown to the group. The first was a beautiful card decks holder made with thin (approximately 1/8" thick) cherry and topped with a sand-shaded marquetry fan. The next was what Ken called the "Cabin in the Snow" piece with a night sky, and framed. The third was a fairly large which Ken had not named, but I would call a "Country Home in Late Fall." This piece was also beautifully framed.
Dave F. showed us the bare plywood box that he made to take the Louis Cube sheets made at the previous meeting. The next time we see the box, it should be nicely covered with everyone's Louis Cube work!
Ralph P. had been away for several months on an extended vacation, so he had a number of completed projects. First he showed the four coasters that were cut in our meetings; he completed the backing and edging on these.
Next Ralph showed us a set of four cycling pieces that he'd cut all at once using the pad method. Edging on each of these were done differently to give a slightly different presentation.
Finally, Ralph presented his "Country Cabin of River with Boat" which he backed on a diagonal slice of bass wood, complete with edge bark. This will be displayed at the AMS Show, along with one or two of the cycling pieces.

Bill V. brought in a gong display that he was building for Jamie. The base had a marquetry symbol as well as very neat edging using the Speed Tape he showed the group.
